About Tour
Can you guess what this 7000 years old rock art is about? Everyone on Earth knows this story. Adam and Eve with serpent in the Garden of Eden. Eve reaches for apple, and God is looking from above. And this comes from prehistoric times well before Old Testament and any known old civilization. This rock art is found high in mountains in South of Armenia among hundreds of other rocks with prehistoric art. Perhaps no surprise since mount Ararat is not far away from here.
If you like beautiful mountains, ancient cultures, prehistoric rock artifacts, feeling of eternity this tour is for you.
You will visit several prehistoric sites in Armenia, have optional dunkey back ride in mountains, stay overnight in local house and experience Armenian bread making (see lavash making in tonir), visit famous Tatev monastery.
The heart of the tour is prehistoric site with stone observatory Karahunj (Armenian Stonehenge), beautiful lake high in mountains, and hundreds of stones with rock art.
